Khue Ton, MD, PhD
Assistant Professor of Medicine • Mass General Brigham
Dr. Ton, whose first name is pronounced “quay,” is an assistant professor of medicine at Mass General Brigham and an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist.
Dr. Ton grew up in Vietnam. Her aunt and uncle brought her to the United States for college. She obtained her doctoral degree in Biochemistry at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. Dr. Ton completed her Internal Medicine residency at Mass General Hospital, then went on to complete a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Johns Hopkins, and an Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Fellowship at Columbia University.
Previously on the faculty at University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Ton returned to join the Division of Cardiology at MGH in 2019. She is currently the Medical Director of Temporary Circulatory Support program at MGH.
Dr. Ton is passionate about caring for patients with heart failure, especially those in need of mechanical circulatory support and/or heart transplantation. Her clinical and research interests are in the field of cardiogenic shock and ventricular assist devices.
