Abby has spent her career helping businesses and consumer brands grow as an operator, entrepreneur, and advisor, most notably in the wellness sector. She is currently the Managing Partner of Primetime Partners, an early-stage venture capital fund that invests in and incubates companies that can transform our experience as older adults and how we age. The firm provides specialized, expert capital, privileged access to distribution channels and a thought leadership platform to identify and accelerate growth of seed and early-stage companies in the over-looked, trillion-dollar global sector of aging. Primetime Partners enjoys a strategic collaboration with Welltower Inc., the largest provider of senior living and health care services in the US, as well as a notable group of industry advisors.
Prior to Primetime Partners, Abby was an executive at SoulCycle Inc., the market leader in fitness classes, where she oversaw business development and revenue growth outside the consumer studio business, with an emphasis on building new digital products as the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Growth.
Abby has also been a founder herself, teaming with Arianna Huffington to launch Thrive Global, an emerging leader in employer wellbeing solutions. In her role as President of Thrive, Abby partnered with Ms. Huffington to fundraise, build the team, launch, and commercialize Thrive’s media and enterprise services platform. Abby remains a Board Member and champion of Thrive Global.
Abby has also built an independent advisory practice, partnering with CEOs and CMOs on product development, go-to-market, customer acquisition, and loyalty and partnerships. From strategy to execution, Abby spent seven years advising clients including Hearst Media, LeagueApps, LittlePim, LiveAuctioneers, MindBody, Seedling, SideTour (Groupon) and Synapse (Time Inc).
Abby developed her passion for great product design and emotionally connected brands early in her career at OXO International, a high growth consumer products company best known for the GoodGrips brand of kitchen tools. As a Product Manager then Category Director, Abby ran new product category development, responsible for launching over 50 products from concept, design and manufacturing to sales and product marketing.
Abby began her career at McKinsey, first as a Business Analyst in their New York Office and then as an Associate in the London Office. She also returned as an Associate Principal in McKinsey’s Innovation Practice after her M.B.A. Abby earned her B.A. with Honors from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and earned her M.B.A. with Distinction from Harvard Business School. In addition to her professional pursuits, Abby serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees of Hunter College, the Board of Directors of Selfhelp Community Services, and the Board of the Children’s Museum of the East End. She lives in New York City.
