Heather Meyers
Director of Virtual Care • Boston Children's Hospital
Heather Meyers, MBA, is the Director of Virtual Care at Boston Children’s Hospital as part of the Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator (IDHA) team. She oversees the Virtual Care work across the Boston Children’s enterprise including strategic marketing planning and all portfolio offerings for direct to consumer, virtual visits, provider-to-provider consults, asynchronous modalities, and connected devices. Virtual Care continues to be over 20% of care delivery at Boston Children’s and accounts for several million dollars in revenue. She is also responsible for leading the digital health policy priorities and implementation across government relations, payer relations and regulatory initiatives. Heather has over 10 years of experience in the telehealth and digital health industries.
Prior to joining Boston Children’s Hospital, Heather was the Telemedicine Project Manager at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she was able to fully develop and operationalize a Telehealth Department, launching 15+ programs in 2 years, that included hospital-to-hospital, remote virtual clinics and direct-to-consumer programs. Heather began her telehealth career at UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA in the Telehealth Program where she gained her foundational knowledge of the industry and helped to quickly scale models across western Pennsylvania and beyond.
Heather earned her MBA from Seton Hill University with a specialization in management and her BS from University of Pittsburgh.
