Mr. Carmody has been a health care technology leader within UPMC for more than two decades in a variety of roles. As senior vice president, he leads more than 1,200 people on the IT infrastructure teams, including data centers; data, voice and video networks; cybersecurity; hospital-based technology support and enterprise applications.

He also serves as a member of the Board of ClinicalConnect Health Information Exchange, which he led as president for more than nine years. In 2015, the Pittsburgh Technology Council and Greater Pittsburgh CIO Group named him Pittsburgh CIO of the year.

Mr. Carmody earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Westminster College, where he currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. He earned his Master of Business Administration and Master of Information Systems Management from Robert Morris University and has taught as an adjunct professor at multiple universities, including Duquesne and Point Park.
