Frances L. Johnson, MD

Chief Innovation Officer • Perspective Therapeutics

Dr. Johnson is the Chief Innovation Officer at Perspective Therapeutics, where she drives innovation in isotope-based cancer therapies. A co-founder of Perspective’s predecessor, Viewpoint Molecular Targeting, she has led efforts to develop novel alpha-particle radiopharmaceuticals since 2015.

NIH-funded and with a strong entrepreneurial background, Dr. Johnson has successfully commercialized university technologies through two company creations and development of multiple products. With over 20 years’ experience practicing medicine in academic settings, she prioritizes working with industry and academic partners to overcome barriers to the clinical adoption of new therapies.

Dr. Johnson earned a BS in Cell & Molecular Biology and an MD from the University of Washington and received advanced training at University of California San Francisco and Stanford University, and has held faculty positions at Stanford, University of Maryland, and the University of Iowa.
